Booking and Cancellation
Booking Confirmations
- Instant booking services are confirmed automatically when payment succeeds
- Quote requests require professional approval before the client can pay
- Paid bookings move through platform status checks and payment verification
- Professionals are responsible for honoring accepted bookings unless cancelled through the platform
Cancellations and Refunds
Professionals set the core cancellation and refund terms for their services. Beauloom may still assist with intake, mediation, or payment adjustments when required by processor rules, card-network rules, law, or platform safety policies.
- Clients should use the booking workflow to request cancellations or refunds
- The stored professional cancellation policy is used to calculate eligible refunds where supported
- Professionals remain responsible for their service-related cancellation and refund obligations
- Chargeback or dispute outcomes may override a posted refund policy
Payments
Client Payments
- Online booking payments are facilitated through Stripe Connect
- Beauloom does not currently charge a booking commission or application fee
- Service proceeds are routed to the professional connected Stripe account, less Stripe fees and any required payment adjustments
- The Beauloom current monetary gain comes from monthly subscriptions rather than per-booking commissions
Professional Obligations
- Professionals are responsible for applicable taxes, licenses, insurance, and lawful service delivery
- Professionals are responsible for service-related cancellations, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks
- Professionals must keep their Stripe connected account and business information accurate and in good standing
- Tips and service payments belong to the professional, subject to Stripe fees and any processor-required reversals or disputes
Accepted Methods
Credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Stripe-supported payout methods for professionals.

Safety and Standards
Professional Requirements
- Background or identity verification may be required

- Insurance coverage is strongly recommended and may be required for certain services
- Ongoing trust, safety, and performance monitoring
Health and Safety
- Sanitized and professional-grade equipment is expected
- Professionals must follow local health department and licensing rules
- Clients should disclose allergies, sensitivities, and relevant medical concerns before service
- Professionals should conduct a patch test or consultation where appropriate

Community Guidelines
- Maintain professional and respectful communication
- No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
- Use accurate photos, credentials, and service descriptions
- Keep availability and location information current
- Use platform messaging for service-related communication where required
- Do not misrepresent pricing, licenses, or refund terms
Anti-Discrimination Policy
Professionals must provide services without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Violations may result in immediate account suspension.
Violations and Enforcement
Warning System
- First violation: warning and education where appropriate
- Repeated violations: account restrictions or listing limitations
- Severe violations: immediate suspension or termination
- Appeal or review may be available depending on the issue
Dispute Handling
- A 48-hour reporting window is encouraged for service issues
- Beauloom may provide non-binding mediation or evidence review
- Beauloom may process refunds, reverse transactions, or limit accounts when required by law or payment rules
Accessibility
Beauloom is committed to improving accessibility for all users and works toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA expectations where practical.
